You’ll find us in a cosy spot behind our small, family-run, village garage in the tranquil setting of Uggeshall farmland. It’s a quaint village just 4 miles from the coastal town of Southwold. Don’t forget your camera as every night here seems to boast a stunning red sunset, turning into a star-filled sky at night. The location here is the perfect base to explore the beauty of rural Suffolk, culminating in 50 miles of glorious coastline. The stand-out nature spots of Dunwich Heath, RSPB Minsmere Nature Reserve and the Norfolk Broads are all within a 10 mile radius. If you’re looking to explore locally, there are plenty of scenic cycle routes and walks we can recommend. We’re also very fortunate to be just across the fields from Latitude music festival in July; at only a mile away we’re perfect as an alternative, off-site base for a chilled festival experience.
Who are we?
Tom’s a Suffolk boy with our glamp-site just 400m from home, but he’s travelled further than that to get here! Having spent the past 10 years working as a professional racing driver and enjoying life in London, he’s now made his way back home for a slice of country life. Along the way, he found Sophie, another food-lover, and has brought her back East to share the calm beauty of life in Suffolk. A family business has been on this rural site since long before he was born, so you’re likely to see Mum, Dad, sisters, or an adorable niece or nephew pottering nearby during your stay!
We’re more than happy to help with any questions you may have, and we’d love to recommend some beautiful places to visit nearby, plus some really great places for food (our welcome pack is a good start for the basics), but generally we’re fairly hands off to allow you the chance to really relax and soak up the sunsets in peace! When we go glamping, we like to get back to nature and spend quality time round the fire pit under the stars without too much interruption – so we try to provide this experience for our guests too. You should find everything you need on site, and if there’s anything you’ve forgotten, our honesty box can be a bit of a lifesaver! Equally, we’re always at the end of the phone if there’s anything additional you need to make your stay extra special.
