This bar and restaurant in Beccles, a 15 minute drive from Firs Glamping, is a great place to head for a relaxed evening – whether for food or just drinks there are some cosy corners to settle into and soak up the atmosphere.
As you go in, the Wine Vaults has the feel of a nice, modern pub with high stools and tables on which you can enjoy a refreshing G&T and some bar food, upstairs is the restaurant with a more formal menu and downstairs is the wine cellar – a great spot to grab a cocktail and settle in for the evening under the exposed brick and vaulted ceiling.
Each time we’ve been, the food has beaten our expectations – for me an outstanding burger with caramelised red onion within the patty making for a melt in the mouth experience (having tried most burgers across the “cool” burger restaurants in London I can say this beats most of them) and for Tom an elegant pork dish with boulangere potato and the most delicious wilted spinach with garlic. Recommend!
