This weekend sees the annual festival at Jimmy’s Farm take place, with something sure to please everyone. A perfect mix of music, food and entertainment for children – just in the nick of time now the summer holidays have started! All of this less than an hour from Firs Glamping.
As well as their many other smaller events through the year, Jimmy’s farm hosts their main festival in July each year. This year, the line-up includes The Happy Mondays, Paul Young and The Bluetones alongside lots of big names in children’s entertainment such as Dick & Dom to keep the little ones happy too! There are some great other areas to explore outside of the main stage, with Wonderwood offering a cosy space in the woods for poetry, theatre and storytelling and not to forget everyone’s favourite bit, FOOD!
There are workshops throughout the weekend to teach you everything from butchery to foraging so you can learn skills to use at home, not to mention fantastic local food stalls to keep you fuelled to enjoy the weekend of fun!
Jimmy’s Farm is a fantastic place to visit all year round and all the things you can usually enjoy there are also open as part of the festival. The butchery, farm shop and deli provides a tasty shopping experience and the wide array of wildlife gives children and adults alike a chance to meet lovely animals of all shapes and sizes! There’s an exotic animals section with an Emu called Alice, a farm animals area where you can buy feed to get up close with the animals, and a reptile section (where you don’t feed…or get up close to the animals!)
If you want to make the most of the whole weekend, get your camping ticket and tent and get going!
